Our Services

For the past 10 years N.U. Maintenance has provided professional mentoring and technical training services to water managers, through the delivery of the Circuit Rider Training Program. This program provides direct assistance to First Nation governments, along with 24/7 emergency responses with maintenance and repairs. N.U. Maintenance is proud to say we have earned the respect and trust of the regional Indigenous community and the water industry.

 

Circuit Rider Trainers

  • On-site, hands-on training and mentoring services to Indigenous operators, to assist them in becoming certified in the operations and maintenance of their water systems - to the level of certification required.

  • Surveillance monitoring of community drinking water and wastewater systems.

  • Year-round, 24/7 telephone support to operators.

  • Development of site-specific work-plans based on operator training needs and required repairs/maintenance requirements of the systems.

  • Remote Water Monitoring Systems (RWMS) installation, calibration, maintenance, and repairs.

  • Technical advice and assist with water systems inspections, upgrades, design, and commissioning.

  • Asset Management - Conducting water infrastructure inspections and reports of community water and wastewater infrastructure assets.

  • Development of Maintenance Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans and Standard Operating Procedures.

With a rapidly changing climate in Canada’s North, in addition to resource development pressures, lands, water resources and biodiversity are increasingly under stress. Our personnel have significant experience working with Northern First Nation communities and are culturally respectful and aware of Indigenous values.
